Not all flashy things are annoying, some can be fun.
These have STOP buttons. You can turn them off I would.

Those flashing ads online, in your face totally annoying and there is no way to turn them off. They are supposed to get your attention, they certainly do that. You can make your own flashy pests, like mine above, I used a self portrait, but you can easily make one with pictures of a newborn child that has entered your family or a new pet or even a great looking birthday cake and send it to somebody special.
The flash above is extremely easy.
Open flash for a new project. name layer1 "background", you will be working on 16 frames, so put a BLANK KEYFRAME onto each of the 16 frames.
Go to frame 1 choose a background colour and use this background colour on ever other frame (1.3.5.etc)
Go to frame 2 now make this one a different background colour or leave it blank its up to you, then make the even frames the same (2.4.6.etc).
Now whatever is it you are using have it ready.
I used several small photos, but for this we will say you have 1 picture,
On frame 1 import your picture to the stage....
please note.....as you do that the picture will be stored in the library....
set the picture onto the stage where you want you may want to alter its size or position do so.
now go to frame 3 this background will be the same as frame 1 then go to the "windows" drop down window along the top of your stage area in the drop down menu choose library, in the library you will see your picture, drag and drop it to your stage and arrange it as you want.....
please note...If you want to use more than one picture then omit this step and repeat the import step.
you need to do this for each of the frames numbered 1,3,5,7,9,11,13,15.
You do not have to touch the even numbered frames at all.....
Now go to "file" click on "save"
then go to "contact" click on test movie.......
You should see a flashy little number called "well done".
